Ikorodu City forward Joseph Arumala has moved to the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) scoring chart after finding the net again in his side’s emphatic 3–0 win over Kano Pillars.
The match was played on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, where Ikorodu City secured a comfortable victory.
Arumala’s goal, his 12th of the season, pushed him ahead of Rangers striker Godwin Obaje and Abia Warriors forward Chukwuemeka Obioma, who are both on 11 goals.
The former Golden Eaglets player has been one of the standout performers for Ikorodu City this season, playing a key role in their attacking output.
Behind the leading trio, four players are tied on 10 goals each: Victor Mbaoma of Remo Stars, Chidera Michael of Enyimba, Uche Collins of Katsina United, and Daddy Abdulrahman of El-Kanemi Warriors.
With four matchdays remaining in the NPFL season, the race for the top scorer award remains tightly contested.
