Coach Ashafat Sulieman, popularly known as “Coach Brazil,” has expressed optimism about Kwara United’s chances of avoiding relegation following a goalless draw against Shooting Stars at the Adamasingba Stadium.

Speaking during a phone conversation on Game On with Tosh Michael on Emirate 98.5 FM, Ilorin, on Monday, April 14, 2026, Sulieman said he remains confident that his team will secure their top-flight status by the end of the season.

The coach noted that Kwara United are determined to win their remaining two home matches and target at least a point from their two away fixtures.

“We believe strongly that we will survive relegation. The plan is to win our two home games and fight to get at least a point from our away matches,” he said.

Sulieman also highlighted the challenge of playing home matches away from their base, as the team currently hosts games in Lagos.

“We truly miss our fans in Ilorin. Playing in Lagos feels like an away game, even though the people there have been supportive. But there is no place like home,” he added.

He concluded by expressing appreciation to supporters for their unwavering prayers and encouragement, assuring them that the team remains focused on finishing the season strongly.
