The Chief Executive Officer of Vaniti Lagos, Uyi Ogbebor, has dismissed allegations that his nightclub sells fake drinks, describing the claims as unfounded and warning critics against attempts to damage his reputation.
Ogbebor, popularly known as Sir Uyi, made the remarks in a post shared on his Instagram account, where he defended his business record and responded to the controversy surrounding the nightclub’s operations.
He stated that his approach to public criticism had been restrained but cautioned that continued attacks could force him to respond more strongly. He also stressed that his humility reflected his background and long-term business goals rather than weakness.
Highlighting the scale of his business activities, Ogbebor said his companies collectively employ more than 1,300 Nigerians, noting that the jobs provide income and stability for many families.
He further downplayed the focus on his nightclub ventures, describing them as only a small part of his wider business portfolio and urging critics to allow him concentrate on his enterprises.
Meanwhile, his media team also rejected attempts to link him to political interests, stating that he has remained apolitical and has not aligned with any political group.
The team warned individuals allegedly targeting Vaniti and other businesses associated with him to refrain from actions that could undermine what they described as years of investment and effort.
