President Bola Tinubu has formally signaled his intention to seek re-election in 2027 after the purchase of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on his behalf.
The forms were obtained on Tuesday in Abuja by the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, during the official commencement of the APC nomination process.
The documents were presented by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, who declared the exercise open.
The development marks an early formal step in President Tinubu’s bid for a second term under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Party officials have not yet released details of other aspirants or timelines for further stages of the nomination process.
