Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has fixed June 9, 2026, to rule on the bail application filed by social media influencer and relationship therapist Blessing CEO in her ongoing N36 million fraud case.
The case is being prosecuted by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on a two-count charge bordering on alleged obtaining by false pretence and stealing.
According to the EFCC, the ruling date was announced after proceedings held on Friday.
At an earlier hearing, defence counsel P.I. Nwafor informed the court that part of the disputed funds had already been refunded to the nominal complainant.
“We have an application to make. The defendant approached the nominal complainant and refunded N24 million out of the N36 million,” the lawyer said.

Nwafor further requested a short adjournment to allow discussions over the outstanding balance, adding that the complainant indicated willingness to ask the EFCC to discontinue the case if full repayment was made.
However, EFCC counsel S.I. Suleiman told the court that the commission was not involved in any settlement arrangement between the defendant and the petitioner.
“The complainant here is the Federal Government of Nigeria, and we are here for the arraignment. We urge that the defendant take her plea, as that is the business of the day,” Suleiman argued.
In his ruling, Justice Dipeolu held that private settlement discussions would not halt the criminal proceedings before the court.
The judge subsequently ordered that Blessing CEO remain in EFCC custody pending further proceedings, while the matter was adjourned to June 9 for ruling on her bail application.
