
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has relieved the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Toyin Balogun, of her duties and appointed Joke Sanni as her replacement.
The announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
Governor Makinde thanked Balogun for her service and contributions to the development of the state, wishing her success in her future endeavours.
Sanni previously served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion between 2019 and 2023 before being redeployed to the Ministry of Special Duties.
She was most recently serving in the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative before her latest appointment.
According to the statement, the redeployment takes immediate effect.
