A renowned engineer and philanthropist, Engr. Yusuf Olanrewaju Sagaya, FNSE, OFR, has expressed heartfelt condolences over the demise of the Obajisun of Ayedun Kingdom, Oba Dr. Olusegun Abayomi Rotimi, JP.
In a condolence message issued in Ilorin on Friday, Sagaya, who is also the Zanna of Ilorin Emirate, described the late monarch as a distinguished traditional ruler and an embodiment of peace, wisdom, and community service.
According to him, “The late monarch lived a life of dignity and selfless service to his people. His reign brought development, unity, and progress to Ayedun Kingdom. His departure is a monumental loss to Kwara State and humanity at large.”
While commiserating with the Oba-in-Council and the entire people of Ayedun Kingdom, Sagaya noted that the legacies of the late monarch would remain indelible in the history of Ayedun Kingdom.
“Baba was a father, a peacemaker, and a true custodian of Ayedun’s culture. We have indeed lost an icon. May Almighty God rest his soul and grant all the people of Ayedun as well as his friends and associates the patience to bear the colossal loss,” he added.
