Omo Ibile Igbomina Mourns Journalist Layi Olarewaju

The National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Sir Bisi Fakayode, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mr. Layi Olarewaju, the Kwara State correspondent of The Sun Newspapers and a veteran journalist.

In a statement, Fakayode described Olarewaju as a committed professional who distinguished himself through dedication, integrity, and service to society. He noted that the late journalist, a native of Omu-Aran, consistently used his platform to promote the image, aspirations, and development of Igbomina land.

According to the Omo Ibile Igbomina leader, Olarewaju’s support for Igbomina initiatives and his contributions to the growth of journalism in Kwara State will remain enduring. He added that the loss is significant not only to the media community but also to the entire Igbomina nation.

On behalf of the organisation worldwide, Fakayode extended condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, media colleagues, and the people of Omu-Aran. He prayed for God to grant the late journalist eternal rest and comfort those he left behind.
