Iran has denied targeting Azerbaijan, Cyprus, or Türkiye with drones or missiles. The Foreign Ministry stated that Tehran’s defense actions should not be interpreted as hostile toward any neighboring country.
Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that Iran’s armed forces “explicitly and officially announced that such launches were not carried out from inside Iran or by our military forces.”
Last week, NATO air defenses intercepted an Iranian missile that entered Turkish airspace. In response, Greece deployed F-16V jets to Paphos Airport following recent Iranian attacks.
The United Kingdom has reinforced its military base in Cyprus after a drone attack, which analysts suggest may have been launched by Iran-backed Hezbollah, rather than directly from Iran.
On Sunday, Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced the suspension of flights to Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria by Turkish Airlines, AJet, Pegasus, and SunExpress until March 13.

The developments highlight rising regional tensions and the precautionary military and logistical measures taken by Türkiye and allied countries.
