The Kwara State Government has issued a public advisory warning residents of impending heavy rainfall, lightning, and thunderstorms expected to begin today Wednesday, July 30, as forecasted by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet). The government emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, particularly for those living in flood-prone areas.
In response to the forecast, authorities have urged residents living near riverbanks and other vulnerable areas to relocate to safer grounds immediately to prevent potential loss of lives and property.
