MMPN Celebrates Sultan on 20th Coronation Anniversary

The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, on the 20th anniversary of his ascension to the throne.

In a congratulatory message, the organisation described the milestone as two decades of dedicated service to Islam, the Muslim Ummah and Nigeria, marked by wisdom, dignity and commitment to peace and national unity.

MMPN, which identifies the Sultan as its Grand Patron, expressed appreciation for his support for Muslim media practitioners and his recognition of the media’s role in promoting understanding, responsible citizenship and peaceful coexistence.

The organisation noted that over the years, the Sultan has consistently used his influence to promote dialogue, tolerance and mutual respect among Nigerians of different faiths and backgrounds.

It also commended his encouragement of professionalism and responsibility among media practitioners, saying his support had strengthened its commitment to fairness and public service.

“MMPN celebrates the years of service and the many contributions His Eminence has made to the Muslim community and Nigeria’s quest for peace and national cohesion,” the statement said.

The organisation joined the Muslim Ummah, the Sultanate Council, the people of Sokoto and Nigerians across the country in celebrating the milestone.

MMPN prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the Sultan continued good health, wisdom and strength to serve Islam, humanity and Nigeria for many more years.
