Igboho Awaits FG Approval for Security Network

Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, says he is awaiting approval from the Federal Government to begin operations aimed at tackling insecurity in the South-West.

Igboho stated that his proposed security outfit, the Iru Ekun Security Network, is fully prepared to assist in flushing out terrorists, kidnappers, and other criminal groups operating in forests across the region.

He noted that all required documentation for the registration and approval of the security initiative had already been submitted to the Federal Government and expressed confidence that clearance would be granted.

In a statement on Monday, the activist said the outfit would work in coordination with existing security agencies, including the police, the Department of State Services (DSS), the military, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), to restore peace in affected communities.

“We have submitted all the required documents for our registered security firm, Iru Ekun Security Network, and are only waiting for the Federal Government approval which will be granted soon,” he said.

He added that the group is prepared to fully comply with regulatory directives, including the Oyo State Government’s recent Executive Order governing private security organisations.

Igboho also commended President Bola Tinubu for what he described as efforts to strengthen the country’s security framework, particularly in the South-West region.
